AMBUSH 2013 Summer NOMAD Lookbook

For 2013 Summer, AMBUSH delivers another enigmatic collection filled with bold and evocative motifs. Taking on an anime biker gang theme, the NOMAD lookbook is full of retro psychedelia, as this season’s jewelry, accessories and hats shine amid the science-fiction setting. Oversized lock chains and pendants are an ongoing embodiment of YOON and VERBAL’s designs, while multi-finger rings, colorful earrings and offbeat necklaces continue to show the label’s larger-than-life sensibilities. Blending cryptic designs with metallic themes, the NOMAD lookbook again shows AMBUSH’s progressive aesthetics in the world of jewelry and accessories.

MR PORTER 2013 Exclusive Collaborations

Last week, MR PORTER kicked off a string of exclusive collaborations with some of menswear’s most talked-about labels and designers. First up was a collection with Beams Plus featuring surf and Ivy League-inspired pieces like khaki board shorts and button-down polos. On May 21, the French label AMI will follow with a 13-piece capsule inspired by the cool crowds of Paris’s Canal Saint Martin — well-tailored blazers, jackets and trousers that embody Alexandre Mattiussi’s elegant approach to sportswear. Other forthcoming collaborators include Foot the Coacher and Grenson — who partnered on Japanese-designed, English-made boots — and Raf Simons on a floral-heavy assortment of shorts, blazers, T-shirts and shoes. Bringing things home in June will be Balenciaga’s new creative director, Alexander Wang, who updated athletic staples like baseball shirts with his signature downtown cool.

It’s a diverse lineup that offers something for almost every taste and to show you just how versatile the collections are, MR PORTER asked our editors put together one outfit from each capsule for our readers. Browse the looks here and for more on the 2013 collaborations, check out MR PORTER online.

Adrianne Ho: The Unofficial Face of Menswear

You may recognize Adrianne Ho from her GQ spread for UNISJake Davis‘ “Test Shots,” or countless shoots in which she proves that streetwear looks better on the fairer sex. Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past year, she has been hard to miss. Strikingly beautiful, the half-French, half-Chinese Toronto native is, as some people put it, the new “it girl,” the “anti-heroin chic model,” and a woman who represents the intersection of power, independence and sexuality, all within connections to the city in a relevant way. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the clothes she models are almost as covetable — an of-the-moment mix of streetwear labels like Supreme and Stussy, #menswear and Nike.

You can follow Adrianne Ho on both Instagram and Twitter.
